We recently had this lovely looking Porsche 911 in for various bits of work. One was to install a quick shift gear linkage together with an RS Style “Golden Rod” which improves the shift quality over the OEM rubber connection. In the customer’s words “The gears are lovely it’s made a massive difference to the driving experience.”
In addition to fitting the upgraded gear linkage we attempted to fit modified rear silencers which will release more of that lovely Porsche 911 Flat 6 noise. Unfortunately all of the bolts and clamps are going to need replacing and none of the motor factors could supply quickly so we’ve rescheduled the exhaust install. Another post will follow on that (we really ought to add a sound clip as well..)
Another job was to fit semi-solid WEVO engine mounts. These Carrera 2 WEVO engine mounts offer more precise location than the factory RS mounts – and do so at a lower price. An ideal compromise between the harshness of solid mounts and the cost of the factory 911 RS mounts.
